Orders for the various products were generally taken during the renowned trade fair on 21 September or at the one on 2 October, the last one before the winter season. The wine, in particular, was delivered in small wooden barrels and stored in the "Cheséta", small natural cellars in Little Tibet. Over the long winter, it acquired a distinctive richness, roundness and pleasantness, almost making it unrecognisable compared to the original.

It is the latest wine to be produced by Nera, but the idea of producing this wine has its roots in the distant 1950s, when, during the winter months, reaching Livigno – now a well-known tourist resort in Valtellina – was practically impossible. "Little Tibet", as it came to be known, was cut off from the rest of civilisation. Because of these logistical difficulties – unimaginable today – the supplies necessary for survival (food, clothing, shoes, including wine) were delivered to families and the very few hotels that existed at the time during the autumn, before the snow fell and before the route via the Foscagno Pass was cut off until late spring.
Because it is a "limited edition" of just 1,213 750ml bottles: a Valtellina Superiore DOCG Riserva from the 2017 vintage, aged in special wooden crates in a dedicated room at the winery where the "Grotta" cheese from the Latteria di Livigno is matured. It is precisely through this collaboration with the latter, which represents one of the most important historic institutions in the Livigno area, that the Nera winery wanted to highlight its now historic friendship with Little Tibet and its inhabitants.
