Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13, also known as Incrocio Manzoni, is the most famous of the clones developed and perfected by Prof. Luigi Manzoni.
As head of the Conegliano School of Oenology, he conducted a series of experiments aimed at the genetic improvement of the vine through cross-breeding and hybridisation.
The specific 6.0.13 clone is the result of a cross between the Riesling Renano and Pinot Bianco grape varieties, and is now grown throughout almost the entire country. It has a remarkable ability to adapt to a wide range of climates and soils, favouring hilly, loose, deep, cool and fertile terrain. It is characterised by finesse and elegance, moderate alcohol content and acidity, which allow for the production of refined and delicate wines, yet with good body and superb balance.
